Dubbo’ s scratch marker is a NSW State Junior team member and he took Annika all the way to 18 where she broke his heart with a great 8 foot putt to win the hole and the match 1up.
Keegan’ s match was an up and down & square all day event finishing square on the last.
Keegan played great golf all weekend and has a big future.
Noah won 4 and 2 and showed he has the talent to take his game to the next level with some great shots and great attitude.
Nathan played really well on Saturday with 38 but what could have been with a one pointer
and a wipe to finish. On Sunday he had some bad luck but still played good golf and went down fighting 3/2. Nathan has been a great team player and never asks for anything.
William played a 5 marker who is in the NSW Girls development squad and he treated her like the gentleman he is winning 6 and 5.
Brock showed signs of great things to come with his match up and down all day only to go down on the 17th 2/1 on the Saturday Brock got off to a poor start but rallied with 6 three POINTERS in a row.
Brock also got nearest the pin on Saturday but there is a story behind that.
All in all, it was a great weekend with exemplary behaviour displayed by all team members. It was great to see the way they treat each other and encourage one another on and off the course. Thanks to Kenton for his great leadership and Monica and Scott for helping out with supervision and support.
Thanks go to TGC and CCDGA for the financial support and the Pro Shop and Club Staff for all their coaching and support.
Toukley now progress to the State Semi-finals at Newcastle GC in mid January against teams from Southern and Northern NSW and Sydney Metro.
