Annika Boyd – Brett Ogle Junior Masters @ Goulburn Golf Club

Annika Boyd won the 2017 JNJG Brett Ogle Junior Masters over the weekend with rounds of 75 and 74 on the Par 72 layout

to claim her second JNJG Masters Series Title for 2017.

2017 has seen solid improvement under the guidance of Trent Weiland including two runner up finishes and a win in February when Annika took out the JNJG Peter OMalley Junior Masters at Bathurst Golf Club.

Along with these results Annika finished 11th in JNJG NSW State Championships and Runner Up in the 14/15 Years Girls in July.

In September Annika added the JNJG 15 Years and Under Girls Fayde Match Play Title to her trophy cabinet at Mount Broughton with a win over Sophie Yip from the Concord Golf Club

Annika was equal leader in the JNJG Masters Points Race going in to the weekend with Yerin Kim from Concord Golf Club.

The girls were both tied after the first round at +3. In the 2nd round Annika got off to a flyer being 3 under through the first seven holes and won the event by 5 shots despite two double bogies on 9 and 16.

As a result Annika has been invited to compete in the Greg Norman Junior Masters in Queensland from the 11th December through to the 14th December which is a national ranking event for Junior Boys and Girls.

Annika’s selection in the State Development Squad this year along with these results shows what Toukley Golf club and its juniors can achieve and all concerned appreciate the support members have given in the development of our junior program and foundation.

The win tops of a great week and year for our juniors with Patrick Joseph qualifying for his first Australian Open and Robbie Hogan continuing to impress, well done to all.
