Good afternoon Members

On Friday, May 1, 2020, an easing of social gathering restrictions took effect allowing two adults from one household (and their children) to socialise/visit two adults of another household (and their children).

This development in no way changes the current restrictions in place limiting outdoor social gatherings to a maximum of two people. This means that golf is only allowed in groups of two under Public Health Orders.

There has been some recent media attention speculating when golf will be allowed in groups of four, however, there is no formal time frame indicating when this might be.

This week will see a number of meetings of the National Cabinet at which it is hoped further easing of public gathering/social distancing restrictions will be announced.

The Club would like to be in the best position to take advantage of any changes that may come at short notice from the NSW Govt. To enable us to do this we will be temporarily moving to ‘week to week’ bookings as opposed to our regular fortnightly bookings. Consequently NO timesheets will be opening this week (through Sunday 10th May).

Timesheets will recommence opening next Tuesday 12th May as per the previously emailed schedule albeit on a ‘week to week’ basis:

Saturdays – opening Thursdays 6.00pm (9 days prior)

Sundays – opening Fridays 6.00pm (9 days prior)

Mondays – opening Sundays 6.00pm (8 days prior)

Wednesdays – opening Tuesdays 6.00pm (8 days prior)

Fridays – opening Wednesdays 6.00pm (9 days prior)

Social gathering laws have proven to be quite volatile as evidenced by the rules surrounding beach access. ‘Week to week’ bookings will also allow us to be in a better position to react to any restrictions being reimposed with minimal interruption to bookings.

Once again your patience is most appreciated
