Today’s event was our first Medal Round for 2017.  It was a stroke event for most of us and putting also counted.  The weather was again hot and sticky but nevertheless there were some very good scores posted and congratulations to all the winners, runners up and good putters.

Just a reminder regarding the Wyong Classic which is being held on the 20th March.  Closing date for entries is 7th March but money needs to be with Laraine Drew urgently if you intend to play.  A reminder also that the sheet is now available for our own Classic being held on 13th and 14th of March, so please put your name down for a single day (Mon or Tues) or for both days.  The Sheet is in the ladies room.  Single day $20, both days $35.

To reinforce our Rule of the Day  –  at this stage it is a local rule but will appear in the next R&A book

“From 1/1/2017 when a player’s ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball marker is accidentally moved by the player, his partner, his opponent or any of their caddies or equipment.  The ball or marker must be replaced as provided in rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1”

Happy golfing and we will see you all next week.
