The 12th is another birdie opportunity. The ideal tee shot is a fade off the bunker on the left to the middle of the fairway. This will maximise run and allow for a straight second shot. A well hit tee shot to the left of the bunker toward the spare green will still offer a birdie chance, although this option will bring the trees into play for the second shot. There is a hidden area of rough to the right about 200 m from the tee which may save a long pushed shot. Long hitters may be able to reach the green in two, otherwise play safe on the second shot with a rescue club or long iron. Two mounds narrow the fairway 50 m short of the green and should be avoided. The pitch to the green needs to be straight as approach shots tend to run off the green left and right. A miss to the left offers the easier chip. The green is well contoured so take a good look before putting.
