Due to the improved COVID situation in NSW the Toukley Golf Club Board of Directors has decided to remove all COVID restrictions relating to the golf course. Commencing Tuesday 16th March 2021 the following conditions will apply during competition rounds and social play:-

  • Exchange scorecards with your marker before commencing competition play.
  • The scanning area of the scorecard (crosses in the boxes) to be completed.
  • Both player and marker to check and sign the scorecards at the completion of the round and scorecards are to be scanned into the computer at the kiosk in the Clubhouse, and then placed in the card box. Until further notice only ONE person from the playing group is to scan the cards.
  • Preferred lies will no longer be available in bunkers and bunker rakes will be back in use.
  • Rope barriers and associated wooden stakes will revert to Moveable Obstructions (Rule 15.2) and if required may be moved as per the rules. Ropes and stakes must be replaced after taking a stroke.
  • Sand buckets will be made available for use.
  • The flagstick may be removed when putting. Note: The ball removal mechanism at the base of the flagstick will remain in place. The use of these mechanisms has effectively eliminated damage to the hole caused by the incorrect use of “pick-up tools” installed in the grip end of putters. Players who use these devices are encouraged to leave the flagstick in when putting and use the flagstick mechanism to remove the ball from the hole before lifting their ball from the putting surface using their “pick-up tool”.
  • Nearest the Pins will return for all competitions.
  • Presentations will be conducted in the Clubhouse after the completion of the competition.

Jack Boardman, Club Captain, for and on behalf of the Board.
